Really disappointed/disgusted. Took my teen and her friend to station, planning a day in the city, specifically to MOMA. There are construction vehicles blocking one street entrance, and, they are parked along the side with the only available metered spots. I usually travel on weekends, but the kids are out of school & I wanted them to have a nice day out before going back. I realize that people who work in the city have to leave early - and parking permit spots can take months on a waiting list. But - this is the 21st Century. Beacon train station has changed it's façade over the years, but underneath, where one must pass through to get to a platform, it's still disgusting. By now, they should have built a VERTICAL PARKING LOT. They have the money. Also, how about posting a warning about construction on the Metro website? In order to make this trip work, I would have to bring these kids out to the station by 6 am, just to find a spot to put our car. Dutchess County is so backwards.

Convenient quick ride for Hudson Valley. BUT,,,always smells and dirty. Needs TLC.

Station was fine. Trains were on time. Wasn't looking for anything else.

The beacon station is in bad shape. The entry that leads upstairs to the train constantly has puddles of water that smells like urine. The paint is chipping all over the place. It looks like asbestos. It smells horrible. Now while it is not a place to hang out and have conversations it's still a place people need wait for their trains. So while people are waiting for the train they are breathing in mold and mildew. Whoever is in charge needs to do better, after all the price to take the train is not cheap. #beaconstationinneedofrepair

Do not go in tunnel area if you can avoid. It always smells. Worst then a NY subway. The paint is pealing all over, rust everywhere and lighting is shotty. That being said, beautiful view and very nice park on river and plenty of parking and ease of access.
